I had my first official prayer time for all of you last night and enjoyed it tremendously! I couldn't help but think of all the amazing gifts God has given each of you and get excited to think how God will bless you and others as you use those gifts this week! I encourage you to brag on God as you see evidence of the miracles He does for you this week. Tell each other, blog about them and journal so all of us parents can hear too! Can't wait to hear about it!

Praying for each of you by name, both students and leaders.

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for you; His steadfast love endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. (Psalms 138:8 ESV)

I know God is working in each of you. I know He has chosen each of you by name, and anointed you, for such a time as this. Empty yourselves; be filled with his spirit, power, wisdom, strength and discernment. I cannot wait to hear the numerous ways he reveals himself. Love and hugs to you all! You are missed and you are covered in prayer! You are a God's people and a generation of world changers for the gospel! He is doing a mighty work IN AND THROUGH you.

while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. (Hebrews 2:4 ESV)

To God be the glory, great things he has done!

So good to read your updates.

I didn't get signed up on the "official" prayer list, but be assured that I will be praying for you all this afternoon as I drive home (from Chicago to Mpls.).

My prayer is that each of you will return with at least 1 story where you feel the Lord has used you to bless & serve someone in a personal way.

I'm reminded of the story in Matt. 25:34-40 where the Lord says that giving a cup of cold water, or looking after the sick or visitng those in prison is seen as serving the Lord. "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it for me."

Looking forward to hearing all your stories when you return & on the blog updates.

God's blessings on you all!

PS to Kelli/Jordan - You probably have all your evening meals all planned out, but I was wondering if you've ever eaten at Ed Debevic's? It's a fun place to get hamburgers, fries, malts, etc. ... Their objective is to be obnoxious!! :-) It's on the corner of Erie & Wells (I believe)
